Technology in the village

THE WONDER OF TECHNOLOGY

Technology has changed the way we live our lives. It has
influenced our daily lives irretrevably.
Can you imagine this simple implement of technology, the laptop this time, had on the children who viewed it first hand in our local village when I downloaded some photos I had taken with my samsung camera. I had just finished downloading these photos when these kids asked permission to view these photos.

I obliged and this was the result of that assent. I took the opportunity while they were busy viewing the photos in the laptop to capture that moment in time; for me it was a very rare and precious moment and I wanted to share it with my blog community. The photos that these wonderful kids are viewing will be available on my picasa web spot shortly. Watch the space for more information on this issue.

The kids are so attracted by technology and seems to want to put their hands on it if it were possible and we the adults would allow and expose them to it. Here, I only allowed them to use their eyes to oggle the contents and the amazing features of the
machine, the laptop. I am organizing an opportunity wherein I will introduce them to the basic knowledge and practical experience of using the computer. I plan to take them up to the level of using the internet and writting letters and basic projects using this wonder machine called the computer. This is the way to go towards the future. A parents who denies his or her child the opportunity to be exposed to this wonderful and amazing technological machine is handicapping his or her child. This handcap is worse than the handicap the Former regime ruthlessly imposed upon us.
